Description
Tender, flavorful Chinese BBQ Riblets glazed with a sticky, tangy sauce perfect for any gathering or cozy night in.
Ingredients
Scale
- 2 lbs pork riblets
- 1/2 cup soy sauce
- 1/4 cup hoisin sauce
- 1/4 cup honey
- 2 tablespoons rice vinegar
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil
- 2 tablespoons minced garlic
- 1 tablespoon grated ginger
- 1 teaspoon five-spice powder
- 1 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
- 1/4 cup chopped green onions (for garnish)
- Sesame seeds (for garnish)
- Optional: 2 tablespoons brown sugar
- Optional: 1 tablespoon chili paste
- Optional: 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
Instructions
- Rinse pork riblets under cold water and pat dry. Trim excess fat and place in a large bowl.
- In a separate bowl, mix soy sauce, hoisin sauce, honey, rice vinegar, sesame oil, garlic, ginger, five-spice powder, and red pepper flakes to make marinade.
- Pour marinade over riblets, coat well. Cover and refrigerate for at least 2 hours or overnight.
- Preheat oven to 300°F (150°C). Line a baking sheet with foil and place a wire rack on top.
- Place riblets on rack and reserve marinade. Bake for 2 to 2.5 hours, basting occasionally with reserved marinade.
- Broil riblets for 3–5 minutes until caramelized. Watch closely to avoid burning.
- Let rest a few minutes, then garnish with green onions and sesame seeds before serving.
Notes
Marinate overnight for deeper flavor. Do not overcrowd the baking sheet to ensure even cooking. Keep a close eye during broiling to avoid burning.
