Description
A delightful and healthier twist on traditional chocolate bark, combining creamy Greek yogurt and rich dark chocolate with customizable toppings.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 cup Greek yogurt (plain or vanilla)
- 1/2 cup dark chocolate chips or chunks
- 2 tablespoons honey or maple syrup
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/4 cup chopped almonds or walnuts (optional)
- 1/4 cup dried cranberries or raisins (optional)
- 2 tablespoons chia seeds or flaxseeds (optional)
- 1/4 cup shredded coconut (optional)
Instructions
- Line a baking sheet with parchment paper for easy removal and cleanup.
- In a mixing bowl, combine the Greek yogurt, honey or maple syrup, and vanilla extract. Stir until smooth and well-blended.
- Melt the dark chocolate chips in a microwave-safe bowl or over a double boiler until smooth.
- Pour the melted chocolate onto the prepared parchment paper and spread it into an even layer using a spatula.
- Gently pour the yogurt mixture over the chocolate, spreading it evenly.
- Sprinkle your chosen add-ins over the top, pressing them lightly into the yogurt to ensure they stick.
- Place the baking sheet in the freezer for at least 2 hours or until the bark is completely set.
- Once set, break the bark into pieces and enjoy!
Notes
Make sure your Greek yogurt is at room temperature to avoid seizing the chocolate. Use thick yogurt and allow ample freezing time for the best texture. Try swapping in coconut yogurt and dairy-free chocolate for a vegan version.
