- 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1/4 cup honey
- 1/4 cup Dijon mustard
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 4 large flour tortillas
- 1 cup shredded lettuce
- 1/2 cup sliced cucumbers
- 1/2 cup sliced red bell peppers
- Optional: 1/4 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or mozzarella)
- Optional: 1/4 cup sliced red onions
- Optional: 1/4 cup chopped fresh cilantro
- Optional: 1/4 cup avocado slices
Instructions
- In a small bowl, whisk together honey, Dijon mustard, olive oil, apple cider vinegar, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper to create the honey mustard sauce.
- Place the chicken breasts in a resealable plastic bag or shallow dish and pour half of the honey mustard sauce over the chicken. Seal and marinate in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes, or up to 2 hours.
- Preheat grill or skillet over medium-high heat. Remove chicken from marinade and discard the marinade.
- Grill or cook the chicken for 6–7 minutes per side, or until internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C). Let rest, then slice.
- Warm tortillas in a dry skillet for about 30 seconds per side.
- Spread remaining honey mustard sauce on each tortilla.
- Layer sliced chicken, lettuce, cucumbers, red bell peppers, and any optional ingredients.
- Fold in sides and roll tightly to form wraps. Cut in half and serve immediately.
Notes
To elevate flavor, add a pinch of smoked paprika to the sauce or grill the chicken for a delicious char. Don’t overcook the chicken or overfill the wraps to keep texture and ease of eating intact.
