Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, matcha powder, baking powder, and salt. Set aside.
- In a large mixing bowl, cream the softened butter and sugar until light and fluffy using an electric mixer.
- Add the egg and vanilla extract to the butter mixture, beating until well incorporated.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing on low speed until just combined.
- If using, fold in the white chocolate chips, nuts, or lemon zest.
- Use a tablespoon to scoop the dough onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing the cookies about 2 inches apart.
