Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease or line a 9×9 inch baking pan.
- In a bowl, mix melted butter and sugar until well blended.
- Add eggs and vanilla, beat until smooth.
- Sift in cocoa powder, flour, salt, and baking powder. Stir until just combined.
- Fold in optional add-ins like nuts or chocolate chips if desired.
- Pour batter into prepared pan and spread evenly.
- Bake for 20–25 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out with a few moist crumbs.
- Let cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
