Ingredients

  • 2 cups coconut milk
  • 1 can (13.5 oz) coconut cream
  • 1 cup almond milk
  • 1/2 cup maple syrup or agave syrup
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cloves
  • 1 cup white rum (optional)
  • Optional: 1/4 teaspoon ground ginger
  • Optional: Pinch of salt
  • Optional: 1/2 cup shredded coconut for garnish
  • Optional: Cinnamon sticks for garnish

Instructions

  1. In a blender, combine the coconut milk, coconut cream, and almond milk. Blend on high speed until creamy.
  2. Add maple syrup, vanilla extract, cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves, and optional ground ginger. Blend again until well incorporated.
  3. If using, add white rum and blend on low speed. Adjust sweetness or spice if desired.
  4. Pour mixture into a pitcher or glass bottle. Refrigerate for at least 2 hours or overnight.
  5. Shake well before serving. Serve over ice and garnish with shredded coconut or cinnamon stick.

Notes

Shake well before each serving to evenly distribute spices. Use a high-speed blender for the creamiest texture. Letting the coquito chill overnight enhances the flavor.
