Description
Rich, fudgy, and guilt-free — these Flourless Greek Yogurt Brownies are a healthy twist on a classic treat. Made with protein-packed Greek yogurt and no flour, they’re gluten-free, low in sugar, and incredibly easy to make. Perfect for clean eating, low-carb diets, or just a better-for-you dessert option!
Ingredients
- 1 cup plain Greek yogurt (full-fat or 2% for best texture)
- 2 large eggs
- ½ cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- ½ cup natural sweetener (maple syrup, honey, or erythritol)
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- ½ teaspoon baking soda
- Pinch of salt
- Optional: ¼ cup dark chocolate chips, chopped walnuts, or peanut butter swirl
Instructions
-
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Lightly grease or line an 8×8-inch baking pan with parchment paper.
-
In a large bowl, whisk together the Greek yogurt, eggs, vanilla extract, and sweetener until smooth.
-
In a separate bowl, sift the cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt to remove any lumps.
-
Combine the dry ingredients with the wet mixture. Stir until just mixed — don’t overmix!
-
(Optional) Fold in chocolate chips, chopped nuts, or swirl in peanut butter for extra flavor.
-
Pour the batter into the prepared pan and smooth the top with a spatula.
-
Bake for 22–25 minutes, or until the center is just set and a toothpick comes out with moist crumbs (not wet batter).
-
Cool completely in the pan before slicing into squares. The brownies will firm up as they cool.
-
Enjoy! Store leftovers in the fridge for up to 5 days or freeze for longer storage.
Notes
- For a sweeter brownie, add 1–2 tablespoons of extra sweetener or a few stevia drops.
- Want them extra fudgy? Add 1 tablespoon of nut butter or a splash of brewed coffee to the batter.
- To make this recipe dairy-free, use coconut or almond-based yogurt.
- For a vegan version, substitute eggs with flax eggs (1 tbsp ground flaxseed + 2.5 tbsp water per egg).
- These brownies are even better after chilling — try refrigerating them for a few hours for a firmer, chewier texture.
- If adding chocolate chips or nuts, lightly toss them in cocoa powder before mixing to prevent sinking.
